Explore Nerja Caves

The caves of Nerja are one of the town’s main attractions, which is why you should explore them during your holidays in Nerja. This complex of caves was discovered in 1959, although studies show that it has been in existence for millions of years. Here, you will see the world’s largest calcite column, remarkable stalactite and stalagmite formations, several paleothic wall paintings and skeletal remains displayed in glass cases throughout its various halls, though most of the artifacts unearthed in the cave are displayed in the museum outside.
