American Airlines Starts Using Wireless Internet For Its Flights
American Airlines decided to get into the fray and start letting its passengers use wireless internet on its flights. They decided that it was time to re-connect its passengers with the rest of the world while in flight instead of keeping them out of the loop. American Airlines started using the wireless internet on some of its longer non stop flights first. These destinations include New York to Los Angeles and San Francisco to Miami. These are still in test mode and when all or if any bugs get removed you can assume to see them get installed in more flights.
The price for this added luxury will be $12.95 per flight and are only on the American Airlines Boeing 767 planes. One of the features of their wireless internet is that it will block internet based phone calls like Vonage from working so it will keep people from making conversations until they get off the plane. You will be able to instant message and email or use social media sites like Facebook if you really need to be talking to somebody right that second while you are cruising at 30,000 feet. American Airlines does not have anything set in place to filter out certain adult related websites and does not plan on doing it. They said that the airline already has procedures set in place to stop adults from reading certain magazines and will use the same tactics with the internet.
Right now you can either pay cash or use your American Airline credit card to pay for the internet. More than likely you should be using your airline miles credit cardto begin with so you can be using it to get back some of the money you just spent to be entertained on the flight. If you do not have an air mile credit card and would like to start earning air miles then you need to have the best airline mile credit card available. There are so many to choose from but take a look at one that is backed by a major bank.is
